The start of another GREAT year of Scouting in the David Crockett District...
A thought to share for the New Year, KEEP IT SIMPLE!
With all the training required, rules and guidelines, Advancement policies, Journey To Excellence, UVTS for Commissioners, Recharter Process, Uniform policies, Safe Guide to Scouting, Pinewood Derby Rules, Tour Permits, and well you get the idea...
KEEP IT SIMPLE!
The REAL impact Scouting makes to the life of a scout is simply instilling the following into their lives;
Trustworthy
Loyal
Helpful
Friendly
Courteous
Kind
Obedient
Cheerful
Thrifty
Brave
Clean
Reverent
You efforts, in making scouting happen here in the David Crockett District, allow our scouts to make the 12 points of the scout law something that will be part of their entire lives. Now that's what I call making a difference!

It's Cub Scout Pinewood Derby time!
Pack's are suggested to follow the District Pinewood Derby rules when building their cars. This will help prevent disappointment for those Cub Scouts that advance to the District level and find their Pinewood Derby car does not meet the District rules for competition.
